What We Collect

We collect only what’s necessary to get your order to you:

• Name and shipping address — required for delivery
• Email address — for order confirmation, tracking, and support
• Phone number — optional, used only if Canada Post needs delivery instructions
• Payment information — processed by encrypted third-party processors; we never store full card details
• Order history — to process returns, loyalty points, and support requests

What We Don’t Collect

We do not collect: government ID numbers, browsing history outside our site, location data beyond your shipping address, or biometric information. We don’t use cookies for advertising tracking and we don’t participate in data broker programs.

How We Use Your Data

• Fulfill and ship your orders
• Send order updates and tracking information
• Process loyalty points and account functions
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations if required by court order

Who Sees Your Data

Only people who need it: our fulfillment team, Canada Post (shipping label only), and our payment processor. We do not sell, rent, or trade customer information. Period. We have refused partnership offers from data brokers specifically because of this policy.

Data Retention

Order records are retained for 2 years for accounting and legal compliance. After that, identifying information is purged. Chat logs are deleted after 30 days. Email communications are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion.

Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion of your account and associated records at any time. Email privacy@beltandroad.ca with your request. We respond within 5 business days.

Security

Our site uses TLS 1.3 encryption for all data transmission. Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant providers. Our servers are located in Canada and subject to Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA).
